Your information stays yours. Your decisions stay with you.
Business Partner earns trust through what it does, what it shows and what it refuses to do. It uses the information you choose to provide. It shows the evidence behind its answers. It never acts without your instruction. Because business software should not ask for blind faith.
Trust has to be visible.
A confident answer is not enough. You need to know where it came from, whether the information is current and what the product could not verify. Business Partner makes those limits part of the experience, not something hidden in the small print.
It tells you what it knows.
Every answer from Ask names the documents used and their dates, and will not show you an answer without them. Morning Brief states the figures behind each item: the invoice reference, the amount, how long it has been outstanding, the deadline and its date. Every compliance date is based on the information you provided about your business and checked against the relevant published source. You can see what supports the answer before deciding whether to act on it.
It tells you what it does not know.
When a document is missing, Business Partner tells you what to provide. When information is out of date, it makes that clear. When two sources cover the same period, it applies its stated source-precedence rule and tells you which document it used. When a question cannot be answered from your information or a supported calculation, it says so and explains what it can answer. An honest refusal is not a product failure. It is how Business Partner protects the quality of every answer it does give.
Business Partner never acts alone.
It can identify the customer to chase, prepare the message, surface the deadline and explain the numbers. It cannot send, pay, submit, approve or decide on your behalf. You review the recommendation. You give the instruction. You take the action. That boundary protects your business, your customer relationships and your authority as the owner.
Your customer relationships stay in your hands.
A payment reminder sent at the wrong moment can damage more than an invoice. It can damage a relationship your business depends on. That is why Business Partner prepares debtor-chasing messages but does not send them independently. The message comes from your own email, in your own name, only after you choose to send it. Business Partner saves the preparation. You keep the judgement.
No unnecessary connections.
Business Partner does not require access to your bank account, accounting platform or CRM. You choose which documents to provide and when to provide them. There is no system to replace and no data migration required before Business Partner can become useful. Start with what you already have.
A clear record of every important decision.
Recommendations and the decisions you take on them are kept together. You can return to what was known at the time and to the reason you recorded for the decision. Business memory should be traceable, not reconstructed from inboxes, conversations and recollection.
Clear boundaries matter.
Business Partner helps you:
- See what needs attention
- Prepare customer payment reminders
- Keep track of applicable compliance deadlines
- Understand supported figures
- Record decisions and the reasons for them
Business Partner does not:
- Contact customers without your instruction
- Move money or make payments
- File tax or regulatory submissions
- Invent missing figures
- Replace specialist accounting, tax or legal advice
- Make the final business decision
Your judgement remains essential.
Business Partner helps you prepare, understand and remember. It does not remove responsibility from the owner. Some decisions require an accountant, tax practitioner, lawyer or another qualified professional. When a question falls outside the information Business Partner holds or the calculations it supports, it will not pretend otherwise. The purpose is not to replace judgement. It is to make good judgement easier.
Privacy explained plainly.
Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and protected, as well as the rights and choices available to you. Our Terms of Service explain the respective responsibilities of Business Partner and the subscriber. Important commitments should be clear before you subscribe, not discovered afterwards.
Trust must grow with the product.
Business Partner will continue developing new capabilities and increasing subscriber value. As the product becomes more capable, its boundaries must remain just as clear. Every new capability must preserve the principles on which trust depends:
- Evidence before assertion
- Clarity before complexity
- Permission before action
- Honesty when information is missing
- The owner remains in control
More capability will never be an excuse for less accountability.
Use software that knows its limits.
Business Partner shows what it knows, tells you what it needs and leaves every consequential decision with you. That is how confidence is earned.
