Business Partner

From your documents to your daily priorities.

Business Partner learns about your business from the information you choose to provide. It finds what matters, explains why it matters and gives you a clear next step. No accounting integration. No bank feed. No complicated implementation. You provide the information. Business Partner does the preparation. You remain in control.

Simple by design.

Business owners do not need another system that creates more work. Business Partner is designed to fit around the way you already run your business. You send what you already have, answer a few essential questions and start each morning with a considered view of what needs attention. Under ten minutes a week. If it asks more of you than that, it has been built wrong.

1. Tell Business Partner about your business.

Start with the information the current calendar uses.

Business Partner begins by asking:

  • Do you have employees on payroll?
  • When does your financial year end?

These answers establish which PAYE, provisional tax and EMP501 deadlines apply to you. VAT and CIPC annual returns will follow only when correct dates can be calculated from the information held. This means your compliance calendar can start working immediately, even before you provide a financial document. Only the currently supported obligations that can be calculated from the information you provide.

2. Send what you already have.

No new system to install. Nothing to replace.

Provide the invoices and financial documents your business already uses. Business Partner works from the information you choose to send. You do not need to connect your accounting software, share a bank feed or adopt a CRM. You can continue working with your accountant, bookkeeper and existing systems exactly as you do now. Business Partner gives the information they produce somewhere useful to go.

3. Business Partner turns information into evidence.

It does not simply store your documents. It identifies what they can support.

Business Partner reads the information you provide, identifies the relevant figures and records the dates and sources behind them. It uses that evidence to:

  • Identify outstanding customer invoices
  • Calculate supported financial measures
  • Recognise when information is missing or out of date
  • Answer questions about your numbers
  • Prepare the priorities in your Morning Brief

Every answer remains connected to the documents it came from. When two sources cover the same period, Business Partner applies its stated source-precedence rule and tells you which document it used. When the evidence is not there, it says so.

4. Start each morning with a clear brief.

What matters today. What to do next.

Business Partner prepares your Morning Brief before the working day begins. It brings forward the matters that deserve attention:

  • The three customers to chase for payment
  • Compliance deadlines that are approaching
  • Questions your current figures can answer
  • Decisions that need to be recorded

You do not have to search through reports, remember every date or decide where to begin. The important things have already been brought to the surface.

5. Review the recommendation. Take the action.

Business Partner prepares. You decide.

When a customer needs to be chased, Business Partner prepares the message. You read it. You can edit it. You decide whether to send it from your own email, in your own name. Business Partner does not contact anyone independently. It does not make payments, submit returns or act without your instruction. That boundary is deliberate. The product saves you the work of preparing without taking away the judgement and responsibility that belong to the owner.

6. Ask questions in plain language.

You do not need to know the accounting term.

Ask the question the way you would ask a person:

What is our gross margin?

How long are customers taking to pay us?

Are we paying suppliers faster than customers are paying us? Business Partner identifies whether the answer can be calculated from the information you have provided. If it can, you receive a plain-language answer with the documents and dates used. If it cannot, Business Partner tells you exactly what is missing or lists the questions it can answer. No invented figures. No confident guesses.

7. Record the decision and the reason for it.

Your business becomes better understood over time.

Every recommendation can lead to a decision. Business Partner keeps both together, along with the reason you record in your own words. Most owners have no record of their decisions at all. One that holds what was recommended, what you chose and why is more than most businesses have ever had. As the record grows, you can return to:

  • What needed attention
  • What you decided
  • Why you decided it

The value does not disappear when the day ends. Month by month, Business Partner builds a working memory of how your business is run.

What Business Partner does, and what it leaves to you.

Business Partner does the preparation.

It reads the information you provide, checks what it can support, identifies what matters and prepares a clear next step.

You make the decision.

You review the recommendation, choose the action and remain responsible for every message, payment, submission and business decision.

Nothing happens behind your back.

Business Partner does not contact customers, move money, file returns or commit your business to anything without your instruction. You are never removed from the decision.

Designed for businesses as they really operate.

Some businesses use connected accounting platforms. Others rely on spreadsheets, exported reports and documents from a bookkeeper. Business Partner does not require your business to be technically sophisticated before it can become better informed. There is nothing to migrate. Nothing to replace. Nothing new for your team to maintain. Start with what you have.

Useful from the beginning. More valuable over time.

Your compliance dates can begin working from the information provided at setup. Your documents make financial answers and debtor priorities possible. Your daily actions create a record of recommendations and the decisions you take on them. Each part adds to the next:

Business information becomes evidence.

Evidence becomes a recommendation.

A recommendation becomes a decision.

A decision becomes business memory.

Better over time. Clear by design.

Business Partner is committed to ongoing product development and growing subscriber value. New capabilities will be shaped by the real work of running a small business. Each one must help owners recover cash, avoid unnecessary cost, make better-supported decisions or win back meaningful time. The product will become more capable without becoming more complicated. The principles will remain unchanged:

  • Your information is the evidence
  • Ask names the documents and dates behind every answer, and Morning Brief states the figures behind every item
  • Missing information is never disguised
  • You remain in control
  • Every addition must earn its place

Start with what you already know.

Provide a few essential details. Send the documents you already have. Wake up knowing where your attention belongs.
